We describe two SLE patients whose condition was complicated by repeated stereotypic, CT confirmed, episodes of lupus enteritis characterized by dramatic intestinal wall edema. Moreover, each flare was accompanied by significant hypocomplementemia and was rapidly reversible suggesting an acute gastrointestinal distress syndrome (AGDS) as a result of leukoaggregation and a gut capillary leak syndrome.
