Reversal of thrombocytopenia following oral anticoagulation in two patients with primary antiphospholipid syndrome

We report on two patients with the primary antiphospholipid syndrome who had significant thrombocytopenia. In both patients platelet number improved soon after initiation of oral anticoagulation. Possible mechanisms for the resolution of thromboeytopenia are discussed.
